Samara Customs prevented the illegal export of more than 15 tons of lubricating oils

The mobile group of Samara Customs at the checkpoint «Sagarchin» (Orenburg region) at the exit to the Republic of Kazakhstan in a tractor 70 barrels and 140 canisters of undeclared motor and transmission oil, with a total weight of more than 15 tons were found.
When questioning the driver, it turned out that the goods were loaded in Nizhny Novgorod. The sender had not handed over any other documents to the carrier besides the consignment notes.
Rustam Tuntaev, Deputy Head of Samara Customs, explained: «In accordance with customs legislation, «lubricating oils» when exported to the Republic of Kazakhstan are subject to mandatory declaration. Thus, at the time of crossing the state border of Russia, we have established the fact of violation».
A case on administrative offense under Article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia (non-declaration of goods) was initiated against the Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneur. Petroleum products with a total market value of more than 3 million rubles were arrested.
