Vyborg customs: more than 10 thousand cigarettes extracted from the skin of the car

A batch of cigarettes seized customs officers together with border guards at the customs post MAPP Svetogorsk. Tobacco products were hidden under the upholstery of the car, which was heading from Russia to Finland.

During passport and customs control in the passenger compartment was discovered undeclared goods. Then the car was sent to the screening procedure with the use of mobile inspection complexes (MIS). The results of the scan operator of the MIS revealed that in the car there can be the goods, concealed from customs control.

In the further carrying out of customs inspection it is established that under the door lining of a vehicle or other places not intended for the carriage of goods and hinder its detection, hidden tobacco products. Just from the car pulled 10,700 cigarettes (535 packs) of tobacco products and brands “L&M”, “Tron”. All detained goods were seized and sent to the merchandising examination to determine its value.

In fact, concealment of goods from customs control in respect of the citizen of the Russian Federation criminal case concerning an administrative offense under part 2 of article 16.1 of the Russian code of administrative offences.
