Customs officers did not release a truckload of soon-to-be-imported goods from the Chelyabinsk region

The illegal export of 2.5 tons of fruits and vegetables was prevented by a mobile group of Chelyabinsk customs together with officers of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region. During customs control 263 boxes with tomatoes, cucumbers, tangerines, grapes, apples, mushrooms, lettuce, bananas and persimmons were found. The perishable products were being sent to the Republic of Kazakhstan for sale.

“During the inspection of the truck inspectors found out that regulated products were moved with signs of invalid phytosanitary certificate: inconsistency of information of the recipient of the cargo,” commented Denis Tsymbal, head of the service of customs control after release of goods of Chelyabinsk customs

The materials regarding the violator were sent to Rosselkhoznadzor. The vehicle with the cargo was returned to the Russian Federation
