Three times criminal cases: the Yaroslavl customs officers have summarized results of law enforcement

The Yaroslavl customs has summed up the results of work aimed at detection, prevention and suppression of offenses and crimes within the competence of the customs authorities.

The results of the held expeditious events from January to December 2019 was initiated 14 criminal cases, while during the same period of 2018, there were only 5.

“Of the total number of crimes in the sphere of customs business – 6 criminal cases included smuggling of drugs and narcotic substances. Three criminal cases were instituted for evasion from payment of customs payments. Three more cases filed for trafficking of timber and timber products and two criminal cases on signs of structure of a crime, responsibility for which is provided by part 1 of article 193 of the criminal code – for preputial of funds in the Russian Federation”, – said the Deputy head of the Yaroslavl customs Igor Sigaev.

In the framework of criminal cases in 2019, withdrawn from illegal circulation of more than 173 grams of highly potent substances and narcotics.

For the 12 months 2019 on the results of the customs inspections that are assigned according to the operational divisions of customs assessed more than 32 million rubles, lousisana about 23 million rubles.

“So, in January of last year during carrying out customs inspection of several shopping centers in the city we have identified and seized about 3 thousand units of sports and children’s footwear of known brands with signs of counterfeit. On this fact our colleagues from the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Yaroslavl region opened a criminal case”, – said Igor Sigaev.

Only in 2019 when performing joint actions with units of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Yaroslavl and Kostroma regions revealed more than 15 thousand units of counterfeit products.

For the purpose of execution of the presidential Decree of 6 August 2014 No. 560, Yaroslavl customs officers together with representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor for Yaroslavl and Kostroma areas in 2019 were conducted 20 inspections of business entities engaged in the sale of fruit and vegetable products. In the course of events revealed 3.5 tons of agricultural products banned for import to the territory of the Russian Federation, who seized and destroyed bodies of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

In addition, in the area of administrative investigations in 2019 Yaroslavl customs officers 874 filed cases on administrative offenses (AP). Objects of administrative offenses most often are parts of the equipment supplied to the Yaroslavl region.

According to the results of administrative investigation in cases of AP appointed punishment in the form of administrative fines amounting to more than 3.4 billion rubles, collected according to the considered cases on administrative offenses of funds in the amount of 13 million 193 thousand.
