Suppressed the activity of criminal group of illegal withdrawal of currency abroad

The Siberian operational customs initiated 13 criminal cases involving illegal withdrawal of currency abroad in relation to members of an organized criminal group operating in territory of Novosibirsk and Barnaul.

As a result quickly-search actions spent by employees of the Siberian operative customs jointly with the UFSB of Russia across the Novosibirsk region, it was found that 50-year-old author of currency manipulation has attracted about ten residents of Novosibirsk and Barnaul in age from 40 to 60 years, having the necessary knowledge in the field of foreign exchange operations, accounting, foreign trade activities. In addition, the involved citizens have the necessary personal qualities and connections to regularly provide services for the illegal transfer abroad of funds using forged documents. They have also become defendants in criminal cases.

For one of his schemes participants in the Scam opened foreign currency accounts in banks of Novosibirsk. Illegal for foreign companies in China, Korea, Bulgaria and the Kyrgyz Republic were involved in about twenty of the controlled companies, reached a few dozen fictitious foreign trade contracts. The suspects used counterfeit printing and scanning of specimen signatures of Directors of foreign companies and their details. Thus the group illegally brought abroad more than 240 million rubles.

The Siberian operational customs initiated 13 criminal cases under part 3 of article 193.1 of the criminal code – the Commission of foreign exchange transactions for the remittance of funds in foreign currency with the use of forged documents in a large scale, organized criminal group. The defendants were arrested, they are threatened by deprivation of liberty for a term up to ten years.
