Siberian customs Department held an online meeting with representatives of owners of intellectual property

In the Siberian customs office (STU) online conference held a working meeting devoted to questions of protection of intellectual property rights.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the holders of various intellectual ownership “Schmitt and Orlov intellectual property” from St. Petersburg and the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of STU and customs of the Siberian region, including customs posts.

During online conference head of Department of trade restrictions and export control of STU Denis Romanenko noted that by results of activity of customs bodies of STU in the intervening period 2020 revealed more than 50 thousand units of counterfeit products and prevented damage amounting to more than 120 million rubles.

The main purpose of this online meeting was to inform participants about the distinctive characteristics of the original products from the fake ones, on authorized importers, the basic criteria for the supply, packaging, transportation routes and places of official implementation of the original production companies-holders.

At the meeting were shown samples of original and counterfeit products. The videoconference allowed participants not only to hear and see the presentation of the rights holders, but also to ask questions.

Experience and practical recommendations of the event will be used by officials of customs bodies of STU in the detection of offences, connected with illegal use of trademarks. A new way of meeting positively evaluated by all participants.
