Four containers of smuggled European cheeses, coffee and household products under the guise of “water dispersion of rubber” was detained by Russian customs

Smuggled goods of European manufacture have revealed the Baltic customs. The weight of the entire smuggled consignment exceed 70 tons.

As a result of the joint analytical work, application of appropriate risk profiles of the officials of the PURPOSE of the FCS of Russia, North-Western operational and Baltic customs, in the customs inspection had revealed the concealment of illegally imported goods by sea.

At the customs post Bronka received a shipment from Germany. According to the Declaration filed in Baltic CED, four containers were to be “water-based dispersion of butadiene styrene rubber…”. The weight of the consignment 73600 kg. Recipient of the goods was listed firm registered in St. Petersburg.

At registration of the Declaration on the consignment load risk profile in fact the high probability statements of false information about goods. In this regard, it was decided on inspection of the entire party.

– When opening the container instead of rubber, the customs officers found the goods: cheese produced in Europe, – said the acting head of the customs office of Bronka Anna Martynova. – In the two containers in a small number of identified products – instant coffee, detergent Fairy liquid in cans (presumably washer fluid for cars). Customs inspection continues.

On the fact of illegal import of goods is solved a question on excitation of criminal case.
