Novorossiysk customs officers found the batch of counterfeit sports shoes and clothing famous brand Nike

Batch of 215 pairs of counterfeit athletic shoes and 72 pieces of clothing are known the Nike brand is worth more than 2 million rubles revealed to retailers the staff of the Novorossiysk customs.

During the inspection of premises and territories, major outlets of the city of Novorossiysk by officials of Department of customs control after release of goods customs were discovered the goods with signs of counterfeit. From trade were seized the shoes and clothing with nancenoy them symbols of Nike. Documents confirming the legality of application of well-known trademark to the products, the entrepreneur was not.

– We have sent a request to the representative of the owner of the trademark Nike for the legality of the use by the owner of the trademark on products, – commented the chief of Department of customs control after release of goods of the Novorossiysk customs Andrey Andreev. – In response to our appeal response was received, which stated that the Novorossiysk entrepreneur does not contact the copyright holder for permission to use the trademark. The franchisor has estimated the amount of the prevented damage for the sum more than 2 million rubles., and pointed out the counterfeit goods.

On the given fact criminal case under part 1 of article 180 of the criminal code (illegal use of trademark), the goods seized employees of Ministry of internal Affairs in Novorossiysk, conducted investigations.
