More than 140 million rubles of customs payments received since the beginning of the year the budget from individuals in the mail – the Moscow customs
Customs duties and taxes, paid by individuals for the transactions when processing international mail /MPO/ amounted to more than 140 million rubles.
As reported by the capital’s customs, the total customs duties shall be calculated in respect of goods for personal use. So, no payment can be moved to MPO goods for personal use worth up to 200 euros and weighing up to 31 kg per 1 person. If these standards are exceeded, an extra fee in the amount of 15% of the value of goods (but not less than 2 euros per 1 kg of body weight).
In Moscow customs implemented the use of a Unified automated information system of customs authorities in cooperation with the Russian Post, via electronic information exchange with the release of MPO. Since the beginning of 2020 with the use of committed customs operations in respect of more than 52 million postal items.
In the course of customs control of the MPO, conducted validation of the Declaration data. Prohibited goods detained and, if necessary, are sent for examination by which results the decision on withdrawal or release of parcels. In particular, it has been detained more than 230 parcels contained prohibited drugs “Frisian” and “sibutramine”, parts of weapons and military goods.
Moscow customs reminds that it is forbidden to forward to the MPO narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, any types of tobacco goods and Smoking mixtures, alcoholic beverages, all types of firearms (their parts) and ammunition to them, cultural values and other goods forbidden to transfer in accordance with acts of the universal postal Union, law of the Eurasian economic Union and the customs legislation of the Russian Federation.
Also there are certain restrictions when moving through the customs border of the EEU smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other electronics containing encryption (cryptographic) means. When planning to purchase such devices it is necessary to clarify the existence of certain models of the product in the Register of notifications, which is available on the official website of the Eurasian economic Commission.
