Karelian customs is becoming the actual custom control

From 1 September 2020 the customs posts of the Karelian customs are excluded from the List of customs authorities competent to perform customs operations related to customs Declaration and release of goods under the declared customs procedure. Karelian customs is becoming the actual custom control.

In connection with the upcoming changes in the functions of the Karelian customs, we inform you that the submission of customs declarations can be carried out in the Centers of electronic Declaration technology of remote release. After the reorganization of the Karelian customs posts customs will hold the actual customs controls, including customs checks (inspections), customs supervision, customs inspection of premises and territories, as well as perform customs operations related to temporary storage, are placed under the customs procedure of customs transit, the completion of the customs procedure of customs transit.

We offer participants of foreign economic activity to consider the submission of customs declarations in the Centers of electronic Declaration.
