Kaluga customs officers intercepted the supply of psychotropic substances

Employees of the Kaluga customs office in cooperation with Department of fight against a drug trafficking of the Central operative customs stopped delivery of psychotropic substances on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Upon receiving international packages, the customs officers have arrested a resident of the city of Kaluga. According to the documents it was ordered online from China brush for makeup. Instead, in the parcel was a package of powder, which in its composition contains psychotropic substance “tianeptine”.

“The substance is withdrawn”, – said acting Deputy chief of customs on law enforcement Maxim Pozdnyakov. – Currently holds the events directed on establishment of the size of illegal movement of psychotropic substances, the results of which the case can be changed to a more serious”.

In respect of the detainee opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 229.1 of the criminal code, “Smuggling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances”. Sanctions of this article provide till 7 years of imprisonment.
