Mobile group of the Smolensk customs has detained on the territory of the Smolensk region three trucks, which transported the 56 tons of apples of unknown origin. Shipping documents and documents confirming the phytosanitary security of fruits as well as labeling on the boxes was missing.

 One of the cars identified in the Velizh area, tried to escape. As a result of joint actions of the offender stopped on the 397 km of the Federal highway M1 “Moscow-Minsk” in the area of the settlement’sha a few kilometers from Smolensk.

 The audit showed that in the cargo compartment of the vehicle moved about 20 tons of fresh apples with no markings and accompanying documents.
