In the Smolensk customs discussed issues of interagency cooperation on control of goods subject to marking

In the Smolensk customs held a working meeting on the issue of interagency cooperation, customs and territorial bodies of Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of internal Affairs in the framework of the control of goods imported to the territory of the Russian Federation, subject marking.

Since the first of July 2020, in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation comes into force mandatory labeling of tobacco products, Shoe products and medicines. The obligation to mark the goods rests with the sellers, producers, suppliers and importers.

– Marking of products allows you to avoid getting counterfeit goods to market, thus it will provide the consumer and the product owner the opportunity to purchase only high-quality products and avoid fakes ensure a transparent and fair market, – said Vladislav Easy.

Given the importance of the issue, the participants discussed the forms and rules of interaction, information sharing, and outlined joint plans of work for further constructive cooperation of all interested units. Discussed in detail the order of actions of officials when violations are identified related to the competence of the interacting bodies. Special attention was paid to the issue of organization of joint control activities to verify the legality of the turnover of goods in the domestic market, are subject to obligatory marking by means of identification, including a manufactured or released for domestic consumption in the Republic of Belarus. A number of issues resolved to forward for consideration at a higher level.

Concluding the meeting, Vladislav Light thanked the participants for their businesslike and constructive conversation and expressed hope that the decisions taken at the meeting, will allow the departments more closely and effectively to work in this field.

The system of marking of goods with identification means in the Russian Federation implemented in the framework of the decisions of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation as a tool to counter illegal turnover of industrial products. The project implementation began with the labelling of products from natural fur. It should be noted that the project is implemented not only on the territory of the Russian Federation, but also throughout the Eurasian economic Union. The procedure for the marking of goods standardized in the framework of the Eurasian economic Union (EAEU) means of identification is defined in the Agreement on the marking of goods with identification means in the EEU (signed in Almaty 02.02.2018).

For 2020 the government of the Russian Federation stipulates the timing for the introduction of mandatory labelling with respect to seven kinds of products. Their list is presented in the table:
