In Pyatigorsk, the customs officers seized more than 300 packs of illegal cigarettes

In one of the shops of Pyatigorsk customs officers seized 335 packs of cigarettes Marllboro, Parliament, CAMEL, Dave silver and Dave compact without mandatory excise labeling.

“During carrying out customs inspection of an outlet in the office was discovered consignment of tobacco products without excise marks,, – comments Natalia Borisenko, acting chief of the customs control after release of goods Mineralovodsky customs. In addition to this there were no the documents certifying the fact of Declaration and release for domestic consumption in the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union, as well as the payment of excise duties, customs duties and taxes in respect of goods transported”.

Illegal cigarettes were seized and sent for examination. After assessing the value of the goods, the decision will be made in accordance with applicable law. For illegal use of the goods which were illegally imported across the border, provides for administrative liability under article 16.21 of the administrative code. If the value of goods exceeds 100 thousand rubles, violators could face criminal liability under article 171.1 of the criminal code (sale of products without labeling). The investigation is ongoing.
