In the run-up to the Hajj, the North Ossetian Customs reminds the procedure for individuals to move goods for personal use across the customs border

Without payment of customs duties and taxes, individuals can import in accompanied and unaccompanied baggage goods transported by air, the customs value of which does not exceed the amount equivalent to 10000 euros and the total weight of which does not exceed 50 kg. Other means of transportation may be used for goods weighing no more than 25 kg and having a value not exceeding 500 euros. In case of exceeding the norms, a single rate of customs duties and taxes in the amount of 30 percent of the customs value of these goods, but not less than 4 euros per 1 kg is applied

             In accordance with subparagraph g) paragraph 1 Decree of the President of the Russian Federation from 01.03.2022 № 81 “On additional temporary measures of economic nature to ensure financial stability of the Russian Federation” from March 2, 2022 it is prohibited to export from the Russian Federation cash foreign currency and (or) monetary instruments in foreign currency in the amount exceeding the equivalent of 10,000 U.S. dollars

When moving medicines containing narcotic and psychotropic substances across the customs border of the EAEU, individuals must have a prescription from a doctor, a duplicate prescription or an extract from a medical history signed by a doctor. If a person does not have an authorization document, criminal liability may be incurred. When traveling abroad, an individual should pay attention to the composition of medicines, as they may contain narcotic substances. In addition, since each country has its own list of prohibited psychotropic and narcotic substances, it is necessary to consult the diplomatic mission of the country you plan to visit about its rules of import/export of medicines that may contain narcotic and psychotropic substances

The rules of filling in the passenger customs declaration are regulated by the decision of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission from 23.07.2019 № 124 (ed. from 14.02.2023) “On customs declaration of goods for personal use”.

North Ossetian Customs informs that for violation of customs rules, individuals are brought to administrative and other responsibility in accordance with the current legislation. In case of disagreement with the actions of a customs official, an individual has the right to appeal against them in accordance with the current legislation
