Customs officers found unlabeled shoes in one of Bryansk stores

A large consignment of unmarked shoes was discovered by Bryansk customs officers while carrying out inspection activities in the city’s retail outlets.
During the inspection of trade premises belonging to an individual entrepreneur, employees of Bryansk customs found 1.2 thousand pairs of shoes of various trade marks without control identification marks.
«Sale and storage of footwear  was carried out without mandatory labeling, which is a violation of Russian legislation, — explained the head of the department of control over importation and turnover of goods Viktor Tolochko. — Some of the goods have signs of counterfeiting, such shoes may be unsafe for consumers».
The materials of the inspection were transferred to the Bryansk transport prosecutor’s office to make a decision on initiation of a case on administrative offense under part 2 of article 15.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for sale of goods without marking.
The sanctions of the article provide for the imposition of an administrative fine from 50 to 300 thousand rubles with confiscation of goods.
