Customs officers found in a Moscow criminal group, which withdrew from the country up to 1 billion rubles for the supply of medical equipment
The activity of a criminal group, which brought from the country to 1 billion, overstating the cost of medical equipment for import, prevented employees of head Department on fight against smuggling of the FCS of Russia jointly with the Department of internal Affairs on Northern administrative district of GU MVD of Russia in Moscow.
Attackers 2016 acted on the market and import of medical and beauty equipment, which are imported without payment of customs duties. Counterfeiting foreign trade contracts, the members of the criminal group imported through shell companies and the overpriced devices for ultrasonic research, consoles for life support systems, surgical laser system.
In some cases, the same goods are repeatedly exported abroad at a lower cost and imported back with the inflated cost. Participants of criminal group also practiced the import of Chinese medical equipment under the guise of similar products in Europe.
During the period of illegal activity malefactors used about 50 one-day firms in Russia and abroad, according to the investigation, brought in the address of the resident of 500 million rubles to 1 billion rubles.
One of the episodes of criminal activity of the group was the import of fake contract in the spring of 2019 in Moscow oblast from Latvia new carbon dioxide surgical laser system cost about 350 thousand rubles with a stated value of more than 13 million rubles. The product was subsequently implemented at a premium. Thus, during this episode, the attackers withdrew from Russia in Germany, more than 9 million rubles.
25-26 June 2020 were operational activities in the residential and office premises in Moscow and Moscow region. Was questioned and detained persons relevant to the case: Director General of fictitious companies; persons responsible for the interaction with customs, the Creator of short-lived firms; the person who claimed to be on behalf of the plant for the production of medical equipment permission to import such equipment.
The investigators also found and seized information carriers print the one-day firms and large sums of cash in rubles, dollars and euros – about 50 million rubles in equivalent.
