Officers of the Tula Customs revealed the fact of false declaration of a multi-purpose lathe with numerical control.

The used equipment was imported from Lithuania in November 2022. The results of post-control showed that during customs declaration the organization declared incomplete information about the properties and characteristics of the goods, which affected its classification under the HS of the EAEU. As a result, the amount of customs duties and taxes payable was understated by 2.2 million rubles

In April 2024, Tula customs officers initiated a case of violation of part 2 of article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the responsibility for which provides for an administrative fine of one second to two times the amount of customs duties and taxes payable with or without confiscation of goods. The Tula Customs Service also recovered the additional customs payments in full
