Ural customs officers have cleared the import of a passenger airplane

Officers of the Ural Electronic Customs Office have processed the importation of a passenger airplane. The declaration was submitted to the electronic declaration center by a resident of the Chelyabinsk region
According to the information declared in the declaration, the airplane was manufactured in 1976 in the United States, but was purchased by a Ural resident in a European country. The cost of the aircraft amounted to 11.5 million rubles, and customs payments amounted to almost 1.2 million rubles.

“The aircraft arrived from Sweden to Makhachkala, where it was waiting for customs control to be completed. Modern technologies allow us to release goods remotely: the documentary control took place in Yekaterinburg, the actual control – in Dagestan, while the declarant himself lives in the Chelyabinsk region. Thanks to electronic document flow and automatic systems, all customs operations are carried out without the actual presence of the importer,” said Sergey Epifanov, head of the Ural Electronic Customs Office
