Thus, at the end of April it is planned to launch a weekly direct flight from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Phuket (Thailand). Given the popularity of the route, a large board with a capacity of 440 seats will operate in this direction. In the middle of May, customs officers are preparing to clear flights from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Beijing (Dasin). This direction will also be regular, the aircraft is ready to carry 128 passengers
– For the convenience of passengers it was decided to use additional areas of the existing airport terminal for customs operations in respect of goods transported by individuals, – said Galina Kalinina, acting head of the customs post of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport. – Already completed is the re-equipment of the federal hall on the second floor, where X-ray machines are installed and the customs control zone will be located.
