18 criminal cases were initiated by Chita customs officers in Q1 2024. The total value of the crime items amounted to 71.9 million rubles.
Almost half – 7 criminal cases were initiated on the facts of illegal export of timber. 4 criminal cases Chita customs were initiated on smuggling of potent and narcotic substances, 1 case – on smuggling of strategically important goods and resources.
Criminal cases were also initiated for illegal formation of a legal entity, use of documents for formation of a legal entity, evasion of obligations on repatriation of funds
In addition, in Q1 2024, Chita Customs initiated 974 cases of administrative offenses. Compared to the same period in 2023, their number increased by 33%.
