Since the beginning of the year, Bryansk customs officers have conducted 6 checks on the domestic market and identified illegal nicotine-containing products, footwear and perfumes unlabeled with the single mark of circulation on the EAEU market

Over 3.5 thousand packs of cigarettes, about 200 electronic vaporizers and nicotine liquids without excise stamps and markings, as well as over 2.7 thousand pairs of shoes and 434 packages of perfume products not registered in the “Honest Mark” system were seized from the illegal circulation.

Marking allows to determine the legality of import and sale of goods and guarantees the quality and safety of products for the end consumer, – explained the head of the department of control over import and turnover of goods of Bryansk Customs Viktor Tolochko. The buyer himself can check the goods by scanning a special code with the help of mobile application “Honest Mark”

The cases on administrative offenses were initiated against four entrepreneurs for selling goods without marking (part 2 of article 15.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).  Another entrepreneur faces criminal liability for selling a large batch of illegal cigarettes.
