The expensive car was imported from the Kingdom of Monaco by a Russian citizen in the summer of 2021 through the Troebortnoye checkpoint. After the expiration of the temporary importation period, the owner of the foreign car did not export it or place it under another customs procedure and pay customs payments
“The amount of arrears on customs payments and penalties amounted to almost 3 million rubles,” explained Deputy Head of Bryansk Customs Sergei Shulgin. – This is a large amount of non-payment. A criminal case was initiated against the citizen under Part 1 Article 194 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.”

The court found the man guilty and imposed a fine of 100 thousand rubles. He was unable to pay customs duties, so the expensive car was turned into the property of the state and handed over by customs officials to Rosimushchestvo
