Exports of confectionery products of Vladimir manufacturers exceeded $53 million

Vladimir manufacturers exported about 20,000 tons of confectionery products worth $53.5 million in 2023.
The key buyers are Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia and Armenia. The products were also supplied to Abkhazia, Turkey, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia and Vietnam. The total geography of export is 16 countries of the world. The most popular products are sponge cakes (40%), various cookies (38%), wafers (16%)
In 2023, the volume of exports to China increased 2.3 times. Chinese foreign trade participants most often bought sweet dry cookies (77% of shipments).
“Against the background of the absence of foreign trade with European countries, there is an increase in exports of confectionery products to our nearest neighbors, and further to the Mediterranean and Asian countries, – said the head of Vladimir customs Pavel Pavlov. – The products are well-proven and remain attractive to foreign consumers. New counterparties have completely replaced supplies to European markets.”
