The deputy head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia awarded a Voronezh customs officer with a certificate of honor

Ruslan Davydov, Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, awarded Alexander Sukhorukov, an employee of the Voronezh Customs Service, with a certificate of honor for his achievements. The awarding ceremony took place within the framework of the seminar of heads of customs control after release of goods

Customs captain Alexander Sukhorukov has been serving in the customs service for more than 15 years, for the last two years he has been heading one of the most important departments of customs post control – the department of checking the activities of persons No. 1 of the TCPWT service of Voronezh Customs. Now the department employs seven officials whose main task is to detect and suppress new schemes of evasion of customs payments

In 2023, officials of the department conducted 40 inspection activities, which resulted in 16 cases of administrative offenses and one criminal case. The amount of additional and recovered customs payments, penalties and fines for 2023 amounted to 1.7 billion rubles, which is 2 times higher than in 2022

The tasks of post-control also include prevention, detection and suppression of illegal importation of goods and ensuring the safety of consumers of goods in the domestic market. The total amount of customs payments, penalties and fines additional charged and collected by the service amounted to 2.8 billion rubles for 2023. The value has increased 2-fold since 2022, this is the best indicator in the direction of post-control in the Central Customs Administration at the end of the year
