Bryansk Customs: 32 years guarding the country’s economic interests

on December 28, Bryansk Customs celebrates the 32nd anniversary of its establishment.
Today Bryansk Customs is one of the largest customs offices in the Central region of Russia. It has nine customs checkpoints, including four automobile checkpoints, three railroad checkpoints, and one air checkpoint.
Customs control after the release of goods is one of the main activities of Bryansk Customs as a customs office of actual control. During 2023, the post control units of the customs conducted 16 customs inspections and 60 inspections of documents and information. In addition, customs payments, penalties and fines for 729.7 million rubles were accrued, and 642.7 million rubles have already been transferred to the budget.
Over the past period of this year, employees of mobile groups of Bryansk customs inspected 3079 vehicles with goods weighing 52 thousand tons, revealed more than 341 cases of violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation and international acts in the field of customs regulation. 979 vehicles with goods subject to mandatory labeling were inspected. 24 shipments of perfumes, cigarettes and light industry goods smuggled in violation of the legislation were seized. 92 vehicles with goods weighing 1700 tons were returned to the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
Within the framework of law-enforcement activity the Bryansk customs officers initiated 27 criminal cases and more than 1000 cases of administrative offenses.
