Bashkortostan customs of duty-free importation of medical products to combat COVID-19

Bashkortostan customs informs the participants of foreign economic activity on the conditions of duty-free import into Russia of medical goods, which include personal protective equipment, diagnostic reagents, a variety of medical equipment and materials intended for donation to medical institutions.

Medical commodities are exempt from import duties and VAT in accordance with the RF Government Decree of 2 April 2020, No. 419, which came into force on 6 April 2020 and common to all legal relations arising since March 16, 2020.

In order to import products in this category without payment of customs duty and VAT, you must register the Declaration until September 30, 2020 and to provide to the customs authority documents on the targeted use of products that should contain the names of the transferred goods, their value, quantity, range, information about organizations engaged in the import and confirm further transfer of goods free of charge to non-profit organizations operating in the health sector.

Documents on the targeted use of goods issued by the authorised Executive bodies of state power of subjects of the Russian Federation indicating the date of the signature and the affixing of the seal of the established sample, and then sent to the applicant and to the Federal customs service within one working day after its signing. The presence of FCS specimen signatures and seal impression is a mandatory condition of exemption from payment of import duties and VAT.
