30 million euros could not hide from the Pskov customs officers

At the customs post MAPP (multilateral automobile checkpoint) Burachki Pskov customs at the Russian-Latvian border in a van discovered hidden from customs control 30 thousand euros.

The citizen of the Russian Federation, moving on customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union (EAEU) on the van, did not declare imported currency. The vehicle is sent for inspection with use of inspection complexes (IDC). The analysis of the obtained x-ray image of the customs officers assumed the existence in the cabin hidden from customs control of goods. Customs inspection confirmed the location of the headrest convolution. Inside convolution customs officers found 3 packs containing 580 bills cash, face value 50 Euro each and 10 bills of 100 euros each. The total number of bills totaled 590 units, with a total amount of 30 thousand euros.
