198 radioactive compasses was detained by North Ossetian customs

The man went to the territory of the Russian Federation, not stating any information about the transported goods. During the customs inspection in the Luggage compartment of the vehicle was discovered a plastic bag of black colour in which there were 198 military wrist compass with leather straps of different colors.

By results of examination it was established that these compasses are a danger to human health. According to the Center for hygiene and epidemiology in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania should be found in car wrist compasses are “radiation sources”, as they contain in their composition radioactive substance emitting ionizing radiation gamma rays (radionuclide radium – 226).

When crossing the customs border of the Eurasian economic Union, carrying the compass, the man who committed the crime.
