Samara customs officers found more than 93 thousand packs of Russian and foreign-made cigarettes, both unlabeled and with presumably fake excise stamps of the Russian Federation. According to preliminary estimates, the minimum value of the detected tobacco products exceeds 12 million rubles.

In the course of operational and investigative measures, customs officers found that in a warehouse located in the city of Togliatti were stored cigarettes of various brands, including: “Philip Morris”, “Winston”, “Dove”, “NZ”, “MAC”, “Donskoy Tabak”, “Oris”, “Marlboro” and others. In total, about 100 items of tobacco products manufactured in Russia, Belarus, Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Germany and other countries were detected. Documents confirming the illegal sale of these products in local tobacco kiosks were also seized

The goods were seized and sent for expert examination, which will result in a decision to initiate criminal proceedings under Articles 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale or sale of unmarked tobacco products) and 327.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of knowingly forged excise stamps for labeling tobacco products)

In this case, Samara Customs officials are continuing operational-search and other measures aimed at identifying persons involved in the commission of illegal actions
