Tula Customs has cleared 550 tons of goods with exemption from customs payments in the Uzlovaya SEZ

In 2023, Tula customs officers processed 550 tons of goods under the customs procedure of the free customs zone in the Uzlovaya SEZ

For the construction of full-cycle plants, equipment was imported to produce lithium metal, plastic film packaging and chemical products. Once the plants are operational, they will produce import-substituting goods, which is especially important in the context of sanctions restrictions.

The free customs zone procedure allows companies to use imported foreign equipment without paying customs duties, taxes. In 2023, the amount of savings of residents of SEZ “Uzlovaya” exceeded 51 million rubles. This is almost 4 times more than the total amount of exemption for 2020-2022: preferences in this period amounted to about 13 million rubles

With the increase in the number of residents and production volumes last year, the number of permits issued by Tula Customs for import/export of goods and entry of vehicles into the Uzlovaya SEZ increased by 42%
