The driver of a Toyota Crown car with covered license plates and a non-functioning headlight was driving through a checkpoint at the 85th kilometer of the Magadan-Yakutsk highway and crossed the border of the Magadan Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at high speed without responding to a customs inspector’s demand to stop for customs control.

The driver was apprehended. He turned out to be a 32-year-old man with a previous conviction for repeated drunk driving and a revoked driver’s license.
