The first shipment of cocoa beans this year has been brought to the Urals

Ural customs officers have cleared the import of the first large shipment of raw materials for cocoa production this year. More than 15 tons of cocoa beans arrived in Ekaterinburg. Compared to the same period last year, the Urals customs officers note an increase of 2.5 times

The cocoa beans were grown in Indonesia, Uganda, Ecuador, Belgium, Costa Rica and Madagascar

This shipment is destined for a local manufacturer and supplier of cocoa products and chocolate for confectioners, coffee shops and restaurants. Customs control was carried out on a priority basis. The raw materials passed a strict procedure of inspection for compliance with quality and safety requirements and have already been released into circulation,” said Alexei Frolov, Head of the Urals Customs Directorate

The next delivery of cocoa beans is expected in August-September
