Chelyabinsk customs officers have revealed customs duty arrears of 6 million rubles. They found 27 cases when South Urals entrepreneurs exported goods from the Russian Federation outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union without paying export duties
The facts of non-payment were revealed during inspections of documents and information. The customs officers were looking at foreign trade participants who shipped products during the period when export duties were imposed on a certain list of exported goods
“Since October 1, 2023, Russia has established export customs duties, the amount of which varies depending on the dollar-ruble exchange rate. In the course of the inspection and establishment of the actual terms of export of exported products revealed underpayment of customs duties including penalties. In order to avoid, including administrative prosecution, participants of foreign economic activity had to track the movement of goods not only outside the Russian Federation, but also across the borders of the Customs Union”, – comments Deputy Head of Chelyabinsk Customs Stanislav Vasyov
Chelyabinsk Customs has notified organizations about the amount of additional customs payments to be paid. Currently, 1.5 million rubles have been collected
