Irkutsk customs has summed up the results of the international air border crossing point Irkutsk for the 1st quarter of 2020.
The acting head of the customs office Irkutsk Airport Irkutsk customs Konstantin Pimonov notes that the statistics of the post in the 1st quarter of the current year is associated with the development and the current epidemiological situation by coronavirus infection and taken the appropriate restrictive measures at the intersection of the citizens of the customs border in international air checkpoint Irkutsk.
In January-March 2020 inspectors of the customs post of Irkutsk Airport Irkutsk customs has been issued 1035 aircraft (-21,3%) – (Q1 2019 – 1315 of the aircraft). The passenger traffic of international flights compared to the same period last year decreased by 17.3% with 191,7 thousand people to 152,1 thousand people (departed in January-March of this year, slightly more than 70 thousand, net profit – 82 thousand people).
In addition, in the 1st quarter of 2020 Irkutsk customs officers were issued more than 1.7 thousand tons of accompanied baggage of international passengers. The amount declared by individuals currency amounted to more than 343,2 thousand dollars.
While there is a significant difference in the monthly figures.
So, in January 2020 were issued 487 aircraft, which is 12.5% more than in 2019 433 of the aircraft, the passenger traffic in January 2020 amounted to 70,2 thousand people, which is 14.5% higher than last year, 61.3 thousand people.
From February 2020, in connection with the pandemic coronavirus infection indicates a progressive reduction in terms of reduction of flights and consequently the passenger traffic.
So, in February 2020 was formalized 312 aircraft in February 2019 – 409 aircraft (-23,7%). The total passenger traffic in February of current year has made about 50 thousand persons (-11%) – net profit of 25.6 thousand people flew 24.5 thousand people (February 2019 – more than 61 thousand people).
In March 2020 decorated 236 aircraft for the same period of 2019 – 473 aircraft (- 49.9 percent). The total passenger traffic in March of the current year amounted to about 33 thousand people came 20 thousand people flew out of 12.9 thousand people (March 2019 – more than 62 thousand people).
This decrease is explained by the cancellation of the end of February flights to China, and also with the established order of the government of Russia in the second half of March, a temporary restriction on departure from Irkutsk to all foreign countries, except for flights for the export of rubiginosum (usually, Thailand, Vietnam), as well as foreigners from Russia.
“One of our priorities in these conditions, still, is the prevention of violations of customs and other legislation when passing by citizens of customs control, with the preventive and precautionary measures in connection with the threat of the spread of the new coronavirus infection,” – said Konstantin Pimonov.
Only natural persons (passengers) customs point Airport Irkutsk Irkutsk customs for the January – March 2020 was initiated 40 cases of administrative offences (AP). Basically, offences associated with the failure to declare goods, as well as the prohibitions and restrictions by individuals (both Russian and foreign citizens).
Among the identified – offences relating to non-Declaration of tobacco products -filed 28 administrative offences (cases of AP), blend tobacco “nasvay” – 4 cases of AP, no-alcoholic drinks – 6 cases on AP, smuggling of commercial quantities of goods – 2 cases of AP.
To administrative responsibility for non-compliance of the rules of import of alcohol products were involved in 6 citizens of the Russian Federation, for other offences – the citizens of China, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
