The Crimean customs officers stopped the smuggling of potent substances

The Crimean customs officers stopped at a check point Perekop attempt of export from the territory of the Russian Federation of illicit trafficking of potent substances. In the course of conducting customs operations in respect of citizens leaving the territory of the Crimea the citizen of Ukraine customs officers found the drugs and psychotropic substances. During the customs inspection of hand baggage and Luggage men, among the personal belongings of customs officers revealed a 15 vials “Tramadol Clorhidrato”, 50 tablets “Phenobarbital”, the anabolic steroid medication as well as capsules, tablets without labeling and dietary supplements in the assortment.

Potent substance “tramadol” is included in “Lists of potent and toxic substances for the purposes of article 234 and other articles of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation”, approved by RF Government Decree of 29.12.2007, № 964, and is related to potent substances.

All seized during customs inspection of goods sent for examination.

Currently, in respect of a person who committed a crime, the Crimean customs initiated a criminal case. The actions of the citizen seen signs of crime envisaged by part 1 of article 229.1 of the criminal code – “Smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their precursors…”

“For the illegal movement across the customs border of the Customs Union within the EAEC potent substances 33 – year-old Ukrainian could face a penalty of deprivation of liberty for a term up to 7 years”,- said the head of the Krasnoperekopsk customs post Sergey Broniszewski.
