The Astrakhan customs officers foiled smuggling LSD

Employees of Department on struggle against contraband of drugs of the Astrakhan customs and FSB officials of Russia in the Astrakhan region carried out joint measures to stop the importation of drugs across the customs border of the territory of the Eurasian economic Union.

In March 2020, in a course quickly-search actions when receiving international mail from the Netherlands was arrested a resident of the city of Astrakhan. The parcel was pieces of paper with a color picture. The recipient mail explained that in the package are the so-called “brand”, a synthetic drug that he ordered for personal use. The drug was withdrawn and directed on research in the regional branch of the forensic service of the city of Rostov-on-don Central forensic customs administration.

According to experts seized substance is narcotic drug containing d-lysergide (LSD), weight 0,0010 grams, which, according to the Decree of the RF Government dated 1 October 2012, No. 1002, is a significant size.

On this fact customs opened a criminal case on signs of the crime provided by point “in” part 2 of article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
