The age limit of service in the customs authorities increased by five years

The age limit of the employees in the service in customs bodies of the Russian Federation increased by five years. The corresponding Federal law “On amendments to article 49 of the Federal law “About service in customs bodies of the Russian Federation” published on July 31, 2020.

For second lieutenants, lieutenants, senior lieutenants and captains of the customs service the age limit increased from 50 to 55 years. For majors, Lieutenant colonels, colonels of the customs service from 55 to 60 years. For major-generals, Lieutenant-generals, General-Colonel of customs service – from 60 to 65 years.

While until July 1, 2023 for current employees of the customs authorities retain the right to dismissal in connection with achievement of age limit according to previous rules.
