The Arbitration Court of Krasnodar Region brought one of the region’s foreign trade participants to administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 14.10 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for illegal use of a trademark and imposed a fine and confiscation of goods

– A Krasnodar company received a batch of toy guns from China. Employees of the Novorossiysk customs post (electronic declaration center) had suspicions that the goods were counterfeit, which was later confirmed by the conclusion of a customs expert, – commented Inna Kircheva, chief inspector for public relations of Novorossiysk customs. – Customs officers initiated a case on administrative offense under part 1 of article 14.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (illegal use of a trademark) and seized 480 counterfeit toy guns until the court decision

These types of offenses infringe not only on the economic rights and interests of the owner of trademarks, but also affect the rights of consumers of goods, including those that may be unsafe for children.
