21 thousand packs of illegally sold cigarettes were revealed by customs officers in Rostov-on-Don

Officers of the department of control over importation and turnover of goods of the customs control service after release of goods of Rostov Customs, together with employees of the Volga-Don Transport Prosecutor’s Office, Southern Operational Customs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia conducted a customs inspection of premises and territories in one of the stores in Rostov-on-Don.

The inspection revealed 21,434 packs of cigarettes and about 150 tobacco mixtures for hookah and electronic nicotine delivery systems of foreign production and production of EAEU countries without excise stamps and “Data Matrix” marking. The entrepreneur had no shipping documents for these goods

The illegally sold tobacco products totaling more than 21,500 units were seized from the trade turnover by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the North Caucasus Federal District. At present, an expert examination is being carried out, the results of which will be used to make a decision on whether to initiate a criminal case or a case of administrative offense
