At the end of 2023, 34 tons of freshwater fish (frozen crucian carp and carp) were exported from the Novosibirsk Region to the Middle Kingdom for the first time in the last 4 years.

On the whole, in 2023, Siberian customs officers cleared for export about 4 thousand tons of products of fish processing enterprises of Siberia – it is 12% more by weight than in the previous year. The main recipients were the countries of the near abroad
The exports were mainly packaged frozen pollock, its supplies increased by almost 40% compared to 2022. As well as frozen freshwater fish fillets (perch, pikeperch, pike), salted or smoked fish
“Entrepreneurs from the SFD processed both imported sea fish and Siberian river fish for foreign shipments,” said Dmitry Kolykhanov, deputy head of the STU
