Novosibirsk customs officers stopped smuggling psychotropic substances from abroad

Novosibirsk customs officers, as part of operational and investigative measures carried out in cooperation with the FSSB of Russia in the Novosibirsk region, uncovered the activities of a criminal group of three underage residents aged 16 and 17 who organized the delivery of preparations with psychotropic substances in international parcels to Novosibirsk
The accomplices planned to sell a large batch of illegal goods via the Internet in the region
Criminal proceedings were initiated under part 3 of article 30, paragraph “g”, part 4 of article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal possession and sale of psychotropic substances on a large scale) and part 3 of article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of psychotropic substances on a large scale)
The juvenile defendants were detained and the psychotropic substances were seized. The investigation is being continued by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Novosibirsk Region
