Lipetsk customs officers detained 5514 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps

In one of the outlets of the regional center the staff of Lipetsk customs found 5514 packs of cigarettes on which no excise stamp mandatory. All tobacco products – producing countries of the European Union and the Republic of Belarus.

Necessary documents confirming legality of import of goods to Russia was provided.

“Currently undergoing verification measures, – said the Deputy head of the Lipetsk customs Andrew Azovtsev, aimed at establishing whether the offences referred to in article 200.2 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “Contraband of alcoholic production and (or) tobacco products”, nakatyvayas a fine of up to one million rubles or imprisonment for up to five years and article 171.1. Of the criminal code “Production, acquisition, storage, transportation or sale of commodities and products without marking… required by the legislation of the Russian Federation”, which is punishable by a fine of up to five hundred thousand roubles or imprisonment for the term up to three years.
