Karelian customs: the results for the first quarter of 2020
In the first quarter of 2020 Karelian customs were transferred to the Federal budget of the country 512,15 million rubles (in the same period of 2019 443,26 million rubles). Since the beginning of the year made the customs operations 9958 of the customs declarations (DT) (first quarter of 2019 – 9142), of which 989 – branded DT (first quarter of 2019 – 982 DT), 8969 – export DT (first quarter of 2019 – 8160 DT).
The turnover of goods moved through border crossing points in the region of the Karelian customs of goods amounted to more than 1 million 719 thousand tonnes (first quarter of 2019 – 1,473 million tonnes).
The total number of crossing the customs border of means of transport other than railway, exceeded 209 thousand units (first quarter of 2019 – more than 237 thousand). The number of passenger vehicles amounted to more than 169 thousand (first quarter of 2019 – more than 195 thousand), the number of commercial vehicles – 40 840 (first quarter of 2019 – 42 098). The number crossing the border to individuals in the first quarter of 2020 amounted to more than 329 thousand (first quarter of 2019 – more than 364 thousand. The number of displaced railway cars reached 40 million units (2019 – more than 32 thousand cars).
In the first three months 2020 operational materials Karelian customs was initiated 16 criminal cases (first quarter of 2019 – 6 criminal cases) and 535 cases of administrative offenses (first quarter of 2019 – 667 cases of AP).
It should be noted that the decrease in border crossings by individuals and cars was affected by a temporary limitation of entry to the Russian Federation foreign citizens and persons without citizenship in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 635-R dated March 16, 2020 as well as similar measures taken by the Republic of Finland on entry to Finland.
Despite this significantly increased the volume of international freight growth compared to the same period last year was 16.7%, a 24% increase in the number of rail transport. The number of issued declarations for goods increased by 9%.
