In the Samara region customs officers detained a consignment of counterfeit sneakers on 152 million roubles

Batch of 16.7 thousand pairs of counterfeit Nike sneakers with a valuation of over 152 million rubles detained in March 2020 mobile group of employees of the Samara customs.

The vehicle, EN route to Moscow, customs officials stopped near the village of Bolshaya Chernigovka (Samara oblast). In the cargo compartment of the vehicle was transported 16 736 pairs of shoes, marked with the trademark Nike.

According to the opinion of the owner, discovered the goods are counterfeit: missing original factory packaging with UPC stickers; labels hot stamping does not match the original in appearance and applied the marking; the quality of the product conforms to the Nike. The amount of the estimated damage exceeded $ 152 million.

On the fact of illegal use of the trademark Samara customs in may 2020, has sent materials to the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia for decision-making on excitation of criminal case under part 1 of article 180 of the criminal code.
