In the Omsk customs held a training on protection of intellectual property rights
Practical workshop training relating to the protection of intellectual property rights, held in Omsk customs.
The training was attended by the management, customs officers and representatives of the Association of rights holders, licensees and distributors “BASIS”, as well as representatives of the right holders of well-known brands.
The participants in the format of the debate discussed the main trends of interaction of rights holders with the customs authorities, the practical experience of identifying of counterfeit goods on the example of consumer goods (trademarks of the companies Beiersdorf, Unilever), discussed the work of mobile groups of inspection on the stage of control after release of goods, the issues of digitalization cooperation between the customs authorities and rights holders (including the use of the service “Personal Cabinet OWED”, section “copyright Holders”).
In the framework of the training was practiced interaction in cases of violations related to the use of trademarks. The holders showed their projects, which clearly shows the differences between the original products from the fake ones.
All the participants were not contain only relevant information on the measures taken by customs authorities in combating violations of intellectual property rights, but practical recommendations that can be used by officials of customs bodies at revealing and investigation of crimes related to illegal use of trademarks.
