A meeting of the board of the Customs Committee of the Union State was held in Minsk (Belarus) under the chairmanship of Ruslan Davydov, the acting head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia

The main topic for discussion was the functioning of the Interstate Center for coordination of risk management, as well as for the implementation of analytical functions and monitoring of customs operations of the Customs Committee of the Union State, which was established a year ago

Ruslan Davydov, opening the meeting, noted the positive dynamics of Russian-Belarusian cooperation in the customs sphere and praised the work of the Interstate Center

The creation of the Interstate Customs Center is one of the most important results of joint work of the customs authorities of our countries in recent years. It is the only sectoral body of the Union State that works on a permanent basis. The Interstate Center forms Union-wide risk profiles, which is extremely important from the point of view of unifying bilateral cooperation in the framework of customs value control. The first stages have been passed, the next task is to more quickly accept and launch new risk profiles,” explained the acting head of the FCS of Russia

So, in the field of risk management, the Interstate Center has sent 79 projects of all-union risk profiles for consideration, 21 of them have been approved, 56 are under consideration. This work has already brought the first fiscal results: Russia and Belarus have jointly additional tax payments of more than 23 million Russian rubles. Eighty-five administrative and three criminal cases have been initiated for the revealed violations

An important area of activity of the Interstate Center is the coordination of the activities of mobile groups of Russia and Belarus. Already 31 coordinated activities have been carried out. As a result of joint work, 255 violations have been revealed, in which there are signs of 2 criminal offenses and 253 administrative offenses. More than 3.5 thousand tons of goods worth 600 million Russian rubles transported with violations were detected. Fines amounting to 16.4 million Russian rubles were imposed

In 2024, the efforts of the Interstate Center will be focused on improving the processes of information exchange with the Federal Customs Service of Russia and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, as well as further improvement of the risk management system in order to form a common standard of customs control in the Union State and create equal conditions for participants of foreign economic activity of the two countries.
