The FCS of Russia informs citizens and carriers of an increase in the number of vehicles at the Burachki (Terekhovo) and Ubylinka (Grebnevo) checkpoints on the Russian-Latvian section of the border.

This was a consequence of the change in logistic flows as a result of the unfriendly decision of the Lithuanian government to unilaterally close two checkpoints on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border – Raigardas (Privalka) and Lavoriškės (Kotlovka) – from March 1 of this year.

Customs authorities of the Russian Federation have been forced to close two checkpoints on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border – Raigardas (Privalka) and Lavoriškės (Kotlovka)

The customs authorities of the Russian Federation are working normally and are ready to clear twice as many vehicles as the neighboring side

In particular, the resources of the North-West Customs Directorate allow to pass about 300 vehicles through the Bourachki checkpoint at the entrance to Russia, but the neighboring party does not cooperate properly and does not take effective measures to speed up the clearance of cargo vehicles. Thus, the average rhythm of the Latvian side’s heavy trucks is from 160 to 180 through Burachki and from 100 to 120 through Ubylinka

At the moment the queue is more than 900 vehicles from Terehovo border crossing point and more than 500 vehicles from Grebnevo. From March 1 to March 3, 536 trucks passed through Burachki to enter Russia, 415 to exit, 342 to enter and 361 to exit through Ubylinka
