Customs officers in the Republic of Khakassia identified the smuggling of timber to China and Pakistan for 250 million rubles
The Khakassky customs revealed facts of smuggling in China and Pakistan timber hardwood and softwood with a total cost of 250 million rubles.
In the 2017-2019 biennium. the Russian firm has signed five trade contracts for the supply of timber, which was exported 40 thousand cubic meters of lumber. In the course of operational search activities, the customs officers found that in Russia, the lumber was bought without drawing up authentic documents about the sale. To give the origin of the timber legal form, head of the firm – the inhabitant of Khakassia has made false contracts, listing false information about the manufacturers and the cost of goods. This information is subsequently used for customs Declaration. Information about the fictitious transactions were made in the Unified state automated information system of accounting of wood and transactions with it (Lasegue).
On the fact of smuggling of timber Khakas customs filed against Russian citizen five criminal cases under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code. The article prescribes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to seven years with a fine in the amount up to one million rubles.
