Customs officers in the Tver region initiated 98 cases of administrative offenses in Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, customs officers of the Tver region initiated 98 cases of administrative offenses (AA), of which the Smolensk Customs Service for the Tver region (hereinafter – the Service) initiated 4 cases of AA, customs posts located in the Tver region –  94 cases of AA.

For the specified period the service considered 65 cases of violations, 4 cases of violations were considered by the courts, imposed fines in the amount of 627 thousand rubles, confiscated goods in the amount of 174 thousand rubles“, reported the deputy head of the customs service of Smolensk customs in Tver region Alexander Osipov.

It should be noted that 92% (90 cases on AP) of all identified violations are violations related to the failure or untimely submission to the customs authority statistical forms of the movement of goods in the framework of mutual trade with the EAEU countries, or submission of statistical forms containing inaccurate information.
